The Wales Quality Award is our hallmark. Based on the EFQM European
Excellence Model, the Wales Quality Award assessment process has
grown to be the most participated in award process in Europe.
Each year an increasing number of Welsh organisations,
committed to improvement, enter the Awards process. Many enter to
find their strengths and areas to improve in relation to the EFQM
Excellence Model. Our volunteer assessors, who are fully accredited
through EFQM, work hard on behalf of the applicants, producing a
full report enabling each organisation to prioritise and plan improvement
for the next year.
Winning the prestigious Wales Quality Award, or
one of the prizes, is an accolade for any business and the process
culminates in a presentation at an Award Dinner each November.
Whether you are a factory, or a service company,
a bank, an educational establishment, a hospital or a local authority
– whatever your sector, you could be participating. Many companies
who have taken part in the process, do so year on year, and use
the Award process as a fundamental part of their planning process
to drive business improvement and see it as key to future company
development.
