Available on request, this one day workshop is licensed
by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and addresses assessment
using the 1999 Excellence Model including the RADAR scoring system. The
workshop will enable delegates to acquire the skills and knowledge required
to assess an organisation as part of a high performing assessment team.
Available on request, this one day workshop takes
you through five different approaches to self assessment with a mix of theory
and practical exercises. The sessions will enable you to decide what is
right for you, how to go about introducing the Model to your organisation
and plan what to do with the outcomes.

prestigious black-tie event at the City Hall, Cardiff, where the winners
of the prizes will be announced, along with the overall Wales Quality Award

Training Courses:
A two day course which aims to provide a grounding
in internal auditing to ensure that the benefits of implementing ISO
9000 are maximised. Topics include:BS EN ISO 9000 Series of Standards,
Stages of Quality Auditing followed by audit exercises + reporting,
Course review and audit examination.
This workshop is licensed by the European Foundation for Quality Management
(EFQM) and addresses assessment using the 1999 Excellence Model, including
the RADAR scoring system. This workshop will enable delegates to acquire
the skills and knowledge required to assess an organisation as part
of a high performing assessment team. 10 hours pre-course work is
required.
This intensive two day workshop is aimed at business professionals
who require a thorough understanding of the assessment process using
the EFQM Excellence Model. The course is conducted using a combination
of tutor led presentations and discussions in a classroom environment,
coupled with syndicate work that is case study based. 20 – 30
hours pre course work is required.
This one-day seminar
has been developed to
give an insight into understanding and reviewing
the requirements of ETPM prior to its
introduction into an organisation. The history
and development of ETPM together with an
outline of the 8 pillars will be included and by
the end of the day delegates will have an outline
understanding of the ETPM application. Main
Topics include: Overall equipment (6 Loss
Factor) - how to measure, introduction to
SMED effective equipment changeover,
autonomous maintenance activity by machine
operator, improving your planned maintenance
system, project managing the programme.
This one-day course aims to introduce the
concept of knowledge management and
provide insights into some of its key
components. Participants will learn: The
critical success factors involved in introducing
Knowledge Management. The steps involved in
creating Knowledge Management strategy. The
components of the corporate learning cycle.
This two day in-depth
workshop will look at ways to develop a sale systems which is process
driven. Its aims are to give an understanding of how your product
or service provides unique benefits to your potential or existing
customers and develop new sales based on this understanding in a clearly
defined segmented market place. Topics include: Construct a process
driven sales cycle that applies to your product or service. Have the
ability to develop a Sales Tool Kit. Set up a sales forecasting process.
Implement early detection of individual sales opportunities that are
not following the normal progression.
This one day course
will explore the key performance topics organisations can use to raise
overall productivity and performance. Lean is not a single tool –
it is the rigorous use of a range of key operations topics and proven
methods. The course will explore topics such as: function and cost
analysis, process mapping, value analysis, value management.
A five-day IRCA
accredited course which aims
to provide participants with the knowledge and
skills necessary to carry out audits of
management systems again ISO 9001:2000 in
accordance with ISO 19011. By the end of the
course participants will be able to: describe the
purpose of a quality management system and
explain the 8 principles of quality management;
explain the purpose, content and
interrelationship of the ISO 9000 family of
standards; interpret the requirements of ISO
9001 in the context of an audit; plan and
conduct an audit in accordance with ISO 19001;
report the audit in a manner that adds value to
the organisation.
Available on request, this workshop helps you
to be a strategically focussed organisation. You will understand the
typical challenges in implementing strategy and the importance of
understanding the link between strategy and “frontline”.
The Balanced Scorecard takes you through a methodical process for
taking your strategic direction, understanding how it would be delivered
and measured through your organisation and helps you to identify activities
that you do currently, that do not add value to your strategic direction.
Statistics show that commonly, organisation have 50% of their resources
not pulling in the same direction as the Board.
Many organisations have benefitted from significant
improvements in performance by implementing the Lean Principles, Tool
and Techniques. 79% of attendees at the Lean Awareness Workshop held
recently at the Wales Quality Centre said they would be interested
in attending a formal course to learn how to use Lean Tools and Techniques.
We are now able to offer a course which combines theory and practical
hands-on learning. The benefits of the course are further enhanced
by participation in an in-company project which will help organisations
to make a start on business improvements.
