| Axiom Manufacturing Services |

Axiom Manufacturing Services
is delighted to sponsor the Wales Quality Award Innovation Prize.
Axiom Manufacturing Services is a leading UK Contract Electronics
Manufacturing company focussed on providing optimum overall cost design
and manufacturing solutions to technology-based companies within the
medical, industrial, defence and automotive market sectors. Axiom
has successfully utilised the EFQM Excellence Model to help guide
it through a major transition from being part of a large corporate
OEM, producing high volume consumer products, into a successful specialist
Contract Electronics Manufacturer providing full turnkey solutions
for clients throughout the UK and Europe. A key ingredient to excellence
is the ability to constantly innovate to achieve and maintain a competitive
advantage (edge) in a difficult and ever changing marketplace.
Through our sponsorship of this award, Axiom hopes to encourage organisations
throughout Wales to not only utilise the EFQM Excellence Model as
the ultimate framework to drive continuous improvement towards the
perfect organisation, but in doing so “think outside the box”
and consider new and unique innovations in every aspect of your businesses.

| BSI Group |

The BSI Group believes in the
universal adoption of best management practices, reduction of risk
throughout the trading process and the harmonisation, and acceptance
of international standards by consent, as a means of achieving economic
prosperity and to release the potential in all businesses to deliver
excellence.
Throughout the last century, prevailing business wisdom emphasised
meeting internationally agreed standards. In the 21st century, the
focus has clearly shifted to management systems. In essence, these
enable organisations to achieve success through their own initiative,
rather than working to other people’s rules.
A management system is defined as a framework, or the structured integration
of best practice into operating systems. More enlightened businesses
are finding that the common element in global success is a partnership
with BSI Management Systems. We will work with you to implement management
systems, which can help you become more efficient, more profitable
and more successful.
As founder members of the Wales Quality Centre we support the Wales
Quality Award through our sponsorship of the Prize for the Most Improved
Organisation. This valued award gives recognition to Welsh businesses
who have demonstrated real achievement in their continuous improvement
activities.

Award Prize for Process Improvement. Catalyst’s
mission is to ‘Enable Results’ for clients by accelerating
the rate of performance improvements, and extending the deployment
of world-class best business practice.

with Six Sigma and Lean, Process Management and Measurement, Culture
Change and Business Excellence.
Catalyst has seen huge benefits gained by organisations
focussing on managing and improving their processes, from simple
problem solving through to major Lean and Six Sigma roll-outs. Whilst
many of these techniques were developed in large, manufacturing
organisations, Catalyst has also been very successful in adapting
them to smaller organisations and into a service/transactional environment.
The transition from a function led to a process
led organisation is one many organisations find daunting but the
EFQM framework facilitates this journey. Catalyst hopes that by
sponsoring this award we can encourage organisations to focus on
understanding how their organisation works, shine a light on where
it can be improved and reap the significant benefits of process
improvement.

Cardiff Council is delighted to sponsor the
Assessor Training Programme which forms an integral part of the Wales
Quality Award Process
